Millbrook Invitational Show

I have 4 pieces of work at the Millbrook Gallery Invitational Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit; June 26th - October 15th.

One of the pieces is at my site, second from the right..North Wall.

I do not have photos of the other pieces although two are horses similar to the second photo from the left at the North Wall. I will try to get photo of other piece at opening.

Also entered "The Great Escape" (third from the right at North Wall) in the Fitchburg Art Museum's 70th Regional Exhibition of Art and Craft. Haven't heard from them yet but no news is good news. I was there last year with "Five Bucks on the Frog (third from the left, North Wall)."

Update: 5:07PM...Just received acceptance to show out of 400 entries.

Re: Millbrook Invitational Show

Congratulations Oddist. I had work in the Millbrook Invitational for two years, but didn't apply this year. There were cash prizes given then. Maybe you'll get lucky with that too.

Re: Millbrook Invitational Show

Thanks all...

Turns out Sunday, June 26th, was one of the hottest days yet here in New England. While driving to the Gallery in Concord I watched the temperature rise and float between 93 and 94 degrees F. (the subaru I drive has an outside temp reading on the dash) The humidity was the real killer.

Still, the opening was nice. There are a lot of good, interesting pieces on display. I got there late but it appeared as though people were coming and going all day.

I'm sure all the scultptors hope for success. (recognition, news print, sales, etc.) The gallery owner does a really good job of promotion.

I also stopped in at the Fitchburg Museum show. A few really good pieces, mostly paintings...one sculpture (not mine) won second prize.

P.S. Yo M3...the horses are welded...
