Question glass setup?

OK, I got to see our glass blowing set up that was donated to the university today, wow I am so excited. We have 1 electric glass melting/ blowing furnace and 2 electric containers for cool down I suppose. There are quite a few glass blowing rods and a bunch of bags of glass. My question is for anyone out there is how much space SQ Foot, does one need to teach this process to students? I am going to be trying to go to a workshop this summer to learn the process and technicalities (I am ignorant on this). I am trying to figure out how to rearrange the studio so we can accomidate the new equipment.
thanks
Matt

Re: glass setup?

Just some thoughts, no actual useable info, sorry.
Also, learn the names of the equipment so you don't feel so in the dark & have a common language when you reach a real live person.

The obvious answer for how much space is "as much as possible"
Just kidding... You don't want to be too spread out or your glass will cool between glory hole & bench & marver & annealer. But, enough so you can swing your pipe without hitting someone.
Good luck
