Gems
Mark. . .
Looks great. What were the materials? Dare we ask the budget for a "temporary" gig? Any thoughts of how to use the gems now? My former studio-building mate from DC made all the gems and minerals installation displays and brackets for the Smithsonian in DC -- Charlie Bessant. Thanks for sharing, Randy |

smithsonian installation
hi randy
to answer your questions....I wanted to make something big and substantial but the budget was 3500 dollars, and you can easily spend that kind of dough fabricating something "big and substantal" so part of the equation for me was to figure out a medium that would meet my goals and still make me a living....so i searched out the world of kite making and kite making supplies, and i was able to make something that i thought was impressive and make some dough....thats the way its suppose to work, right? best wishes mark beam www.markbeam.com |

Looks like Koons has influenced some people. Is that positive?
