Mid-South Sculpture Conference Mar 29-31

Sculpture Conference Is Here March 29-31

The Mid-South Sculpture Alliance (MSA) will present Sculpture Conference 2007: Connecting the Worlds of Sculpture, a three-day conference to be held March 29-31. ....

The conference will feature keynote addresses and panel discussions including: Milton Esterow, publisher and editor of ARTnews; Michael Hall, sculptor, educator, collector and critic. A newly made film will be shown by sculptor Bret Price on the production of one of his sculptures and the community involvement. Plus a panel discussion with John Henry, known worldwide for his large-scale public works of art, Jim Clark, president and CEO of LexArts, Inc. a non-profit community arts and funding organization for central Kentucky and Walt Schatz of Nashville, art collector and board member of the International Sculpture Center.

Other conference activities include workshops and demonstrations, gallery and studio tours, networking opportunities and a MSA members-only sculpture show with cash prizes and long term exhibition awards. ....

MSA is only the second affiliate member of the International Sculpture Center (ISC) and serves Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Kentucky. ...

This is interesting, taken from the announcement above. "MSA is only the second affiliate member of the International Sculpture Center (ISC) and serves Tennessee, Georgia, Alabama and Kentucky"

March 28, 2007, Michael Hall, sculptor, educator, collector and critic, will speak at the Mid-South Sculpture Alliance’s “Sculpture Conference 2007” in Chattanooga. Hall’s presentation, “Sleeping Giant: Some Thoughts on Sculptors,” will be held Saturday.....
