Newest Bullmastiff head study.

Posted this in the wrong section..Been awhile since I've been on here..Kids and Track and Field season, etc....
So here it is, maybe in the right place..
I just finished this piece for a Client/Breeder in Ky. This big guy has 6 Championship titles on him and weighes 154#. The head study is lifesize.
This is the original in clay.
Thanks everyone for the support and input ..it's been great to have the experience on a Forum such as this.

Excellent! going to be in bronze or what material?

Looks like you captured him well, I just happen to prefer a little more texture, not fur scratched in but more of a texture along the lines of sculpting marks from various tools, your surface is quite smooth which I find somewhat "artificial" on a clay sculpt- trying to be something else than clay modelled by hand.
I'm also not real sure about the indentations that represent the vibrissae- those thick stiff feeler hairs on the muzzle for those who don't know the term, my initial thought on this is- I don't like the indentations- you never see this and they belong in the same place with eyelashes on a dog- back in the clay bucket.

I used to show, has he been to Westminster?
I lost an old dog a week ago to kidney failure, and the day before the vet was scheduled to come out, her sister suddenly developed gastric dilatation (bloat) her THIRD occurance of this almost always fatal emergency, but she survived the stomach surgery, I was even called upon to assist my vet during the 90 minute surgery as his helper had to leave.

Great sculpture! You have inspired me to carve my 2 boxers heads in stone for my wife's Christmas present...hope they turn out half as well as your mastiff...
