Thank you for your comments.
This piece presents several opposing ideas and is meant to be disturbing. The elbow joint is twisted to this extent in order to present the impression that the female is dead and I felt that this arm assists is portraying this idea. The original bronze pictured here will be modified slightly in further editions to twist the head of the male slightly towards the women to suggest that he may be about to kiss her. It is call the Fallen Heroine as it is meant to portray the true hero in our world, those who do not survive their act of heroism, and this therefore allows us to call them a hero. Also an element comments on the status of modern day celebrity and further touches on the idea of martyrdom.
This work was inspired by and dedicated to the many heros that have fallen and have never been recognized.

This pose is ok...but the left hand is wrong! If the woman is falling and limp her Left hand would never turn so far round....Ive tried and its extremley difficult! This has spoilled an otherwise good piece!
