Thank you for your comments Betty, this sculpture remains one of my favourites. It is hand carved marble weighting about 200 kgs not including the base. I made the original in clay and then cast a plaster original, which I copied by hand twice, this is the second and most exact copy, (I always seem to do a better job the second time around.) It is very difficult to move so I have used this as an excuse to keep it. It was so much work to carve that I will not make any more copies.

I wish you would make just one more in Tennessee Imperial Black marble, it would be the hardest of them all, but the reward immeasurable. I'd have to say Blake that this marble is even finer than your bronzes, harder work yes, but towering in excellence.
