Mr. Hansen had his own bronze casting foundry in his studio, in which sculptures > 7 tons were cast and fabricated. His mixture of abstract expressionism and Northwest Native American mythology strongly influenced a generation of northwest sculptors. He taught at Portland State University until 1990.
