This bronze work, 5' H, is one of a series of prints, sculpture, and paintings which have some Renaissance component but then also refer to the cosmos as we are able to see it today. One wonders if Galileo, whose primitive telescope saw the moons of Saturn as only black dots, had an inkling of the incredible beauty that existed beyond his reach.

Hence the series title "Beyond Galileo xxxxx". The lower book-like portion is covered with his drawings in relief.and the uppermost part is covered with silver foil stained with acrylic washes. The sculpture is bolted to a polished stone base.
