Question Need help pricing welded structure

My husband welded this two piece, 10ft high "Eiffel Tower" together for our son's prom last year. He used 1/2" x 1/2" tubular steel and 1/4" steel rods and added many strands of decoratative lights (gold color bulbs around the arches and a red bulb on top of course!) It took him 60+ hours to construct and our kids and I worked hours with the lights. It (including the light strands) is painted a two-tone dark brown metallic color. We are wondering where and how to sell it and for what price. Any suggestions??

Try craigslist. What price won't make him cry?

Craigslist will probably get you the most exposure. Figure a price, place an ad, see what response you get, adjust price as necessary.

Ho ho
the difficult one. how do you price up a piece of sculpture.
Grommet has a good staring point, though I would suggest doing that and then doubling it and adding a small haggle factor on top.
I have been putting my prices up for a few years, and it seems if somebody wants something they are willing to pay for it.

if it is a free listing service start high and see if any cheeky monkey asks you to drop the price. It is easy to drop a few percent then to put the price up.
Good luck, it is a great buzz when somebody buys a piece of artwork.

I would say 2500.00 min. 60 hours is a lot of time, not to mention the size and detail of the piece.

Post it up on Craigslist in your nearest city.
